Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove

I have never been one of those people that despises washing their makeup brushes, it obviously it isn't one of my favourite things to do but I was so excited to try out the Sigma Spa Express Cleaning Glove when I won it recently in a giveaway. I haven't really tried anything like this to speed up the brush cleaning time but as soon as this came through my letterbox I started putting it to the test!

Sigma have a range of cleaning mats and gloves to help speed up the time it takes to wash your make up brushes and to get the brushes even cleaner. This Express Cleaning Glove features seven different textures for face and eye brushes to get them super clean in minutes. It also has a universal fit strap that you can place around your wrist and thumb to secure the glove during the cleaning process. I must admit I did actually have to google how to use the strap because it confused me, my brain must have not been working the first time I used it! Because it is only slightly bigger than your hand, it can be rolled up into a tiny shape making it travel friendly and easy to store and transport.

The glove itself has three different textures for each of the sides, one side is especially for the eyes and the other for face brushes. The side for eye brushes has textures for rinsing, washing and refining, the face brushes side has those three, with different textures than the eye side but with an extra refine plus texture. To use the express glove, all you have to do is pop on some of your preferred brush cleanser to the wash section, once you have run your brush under water all you have to is swirl your brush into the wash texture and rinse the brush! There is a texture on the side of the glove making it so much easier to get all of the excess water out of the brushes.

Although these are pricy in the UK at £25 I do think they are worth it if you have a lot of makeup brushes or you are a makeup artist. My brushes have been getting so much cleaner since I started using this and it saves so much time! When I used to swirl the brush into the back of my hand I would find that residue/soap would get left in the brush and they wouldn't remove all of the product. But since I started using this my brushes look brand new and squeaky clean. It would usually take me around 40 minutes to clean my makeup brushes but I have cut that time down to 15-20 minutes doing all of my face and eye brushes. I like to wash my brushes with as hot water as possible to make sure it kills any bacteria which would result in my hand almost burning but I don't have to worry about that anymore! The glove is very comfortable too and when I wore the strap I didn't have any issues with it falling off.

The Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove retails for £25/$25 and is available at Look Fantastic - link

  6. I had the mini sample sized one sent to me when I bought my Sigma Brush Kit! I adored it, but I'm still reluctant to buy the full size one. I recently lost the little one, and using the palm of my hand to swiggle the brushes in to clean them isn't doing the job quite well enough. Might have to reconsider!

  8. I recently was able to try their brush cleaning mat that sticks to the base of the sink (I can't think of the exact name) and it is SO good! I definitely don't 'hate' washing my brushes but I certainly find it difficult to fit in washing them all when I have so many.

My brush cleaning time has been minimised to about 10-15 minutes using my mat and I'm SO thankful! Love.
