Everyday Base Must Haves

I have been on a quest to find the best combination of products to give me a flawless base and I think I have finally found the products! It was not until recently that I realised how much of my makeup that I use everyday is from the high end so I have picked up some products from the high street for a more affordable face which will be coming up in the next couple of weeks. These are the products which I have been using every single day for the last month or so.
Everyday Base Must Haves
In the areas where, I have acne and around my nose, it can be oily and while the rest of my face is normal and sometimes dry it can be difficult to find products that work with all of my skins issues. I start of by applying my favourite high street primer, Soap and Glory's One Heck of a Blot. This primer makes my makeup last so much longer and helps control the oil. I then go in and apply my foundation, my favourite one at the moment is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. This foundation is a expensive at £30 but it is totally worth the price tag and I think I will actually repurchase it when it runs out. This foundation really is magic, it covers all of my imperfections by providing an amazing coverage yet leaves the skin feeling lightweight. This is one of the best foundations I have used for how long it and how well it wears throughout the day! This is the perfect combination with the primer for long lasting makeup. I always set my foundation with a powder but I am always switching between a few and don't have a must have at the moment.

I like to use a different concealer for under my eyes and for blemishes as I need a fuller coverage for blemishes. To cover my blemishes and redness I have been using the MAC Prolong Wear Concealer as it covers everything completely and makes them undetectable! If I haven't had a good nights sleep I will also use this concealer under my eyes as it isn't too heavy. I do have to be careful not to apply too much of this concealer on my blemishes as it can cake up with the Magic Foundation. The concealer I have been using under my eyes recently is the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer and it is a perfect colour match for me which shocked me because I have such pale skin! This concealer provides me with a medium coverage which is perfect for everyday when I have had enough sleep so my dark circles aren't too bad!

To set everything in place for the day I have been loving the L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist. This spray has had very mixed reviews but I personally love it and find it works well for me! It makes my makeup last so much longer and look as if I had just applied it even at 5pm! When I don't use this I always notice that my makeup doesn't look as good. The final must have base product is theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer. I love highlighters and this is one of my favourites from my makeup collection. It adds such a gorgeous sheen to the cheekbones and it's a champagne shade which is my favourite shade of highlight. I have been using this to set a cream based highlighter for an intense glow!

  2. I've been hearing such great things about the balm's Mary Lou Manizer and Soap and Glory's One Heck of a Blot recently that they seem like absolute must-haves. I've saved this post so that next time I go on a beauty spree I can remember to look at picking these two up, as well as the Infallible Fixing Mist!

  9. I definitely need to try out the L'Oreal fixing spray. I had to do my make-up at 4am a few days ago for working on set and by about 2pm it had pretty much disintegrated! x
