I have been trying out a few different makeup removers recently as the one I was using just wasn't cutting it. I haven't tried much from the Embryolisse brand but this seriously caught my attention! I love micellar waters to remove makeup as I find that they work the best with minimal effort and this one has quickly become a favourite of mine.
The Embryolisse Micellar Lotion is a soothing and cleansing makeup-removing water that can be used for the face, eyes and lips without needed to be rinsed. It is suitable for all skin types, I have combination and slightly sensitive skin and this has been working brilliantly for me. They claim that it is a practical and speedy way to gently remove all traces of makeup while being the total cleansing product and can even remove water-resistant makeup. It contains micelles (gentle cleansing agents) in a solution of cornflower, chamomile, witch-hazel water as well as glycerin to soften, soothe and tone the skin.
This is one of the best makeup removing products I have used as it doesn't dry out the skin or leave an uncomfortable residue before after I have finished taking off my makeup. With many of the micellar waters I have used previously, they would leave my skin not feeling great afterwards even though they would remove all traces of makeup. But my skin feels incredibly soft and smoothed after each use with this one from Embryolisse, it honestly feels softer than when I use an exfoliator! I do have acne prone skin so I was a little worried that this would cause a flare up but I haven't had a single irritation since using this.
To use this it couldn't be any easier! All you have to do is pop some onto a cotton pad and lightly wipe away makeup, it doesn't irritate my eyes in the slightest so I can use it to remove all traces of my makeup. It melts away makeup so easily, I only needed three or four cotton pads to remove a full face of makeup before my skin was clean. I find with almost all makeup removers I have tried that it is difficult to completely remove all of my mascara but this did it with ease and I didn't even have a rub at my eyes to do so!
