Make Up For Ever Lip Favourites

I haven't tried too many products from Make Up For Ever but these two products have really impressed me! I tried out an eyeliner a couple of months ago and loved it so I had high hopes for these and they haven't disappointed, you might have seen them in my Christmas party beauty essentials post too (you can read that here).

I am only just starting to like liquid lipsticks, I know I'm very late to the game but I always thought they were just so drying but my opinions have slowly been changing now that I have tried the right ones. I had heard really great things about the Artist Matte Liquid Lipsticks (£18) so I couldn't wait to give the shade 205 a try. This is a gorgeous mauvy pink shade which I find works well with my skin tone and goes with a lot of my makeup looks. This is the sort of shade I love to wear in the daytime as it isn't too intense so I have been getting so much use out of it already! This is a super long-wearing and transfer-proof matte liquid lipstick that has amazing pigmentation and is very comfortable to wear.

I only need one layer and it dries down fairly quickly and leaves the colour opaquely on the lips. This has a very comfortable feeling on the lips and even throughout the wear and towards the end of the day it doesn't feel dry or look flaky on the lips like some liquid lipsticks can do. It doesn't settle into the lines of my lips too much and it holds up extremely well! I am always drinking water or coffee throughout the day (I'm also a big snacker) so I was so happy to see that this was still going strong by the evening! I can't wait to get my hands on a few more shades in the New Year, they have a great shade range.

I have fallen in love with the Lip Booster (£18) and I have been using it almost every day lately! This is a hydra-plumping serum that will hydrate, smooth and plump the lips by adding fullness and adding comfort to the lips. You can wear this alone for naturally healthy looking lips or you can use it like a lip mask too, I have used it as a gloss over the top of other products and I have really liked that too! This is very nourishing on the lips and feels slightly like a gloss once applied (without being sticky), I really like the way it feels on the lips. This doesn't feel uncomfortable or painful like some plumping lip products can do and it plumps the lines in my lips to make them appear much fuller than they actually are. I have been applying when I do my skincare in the morning so when it comes time to apply my lip colour for the day my lips are prepped and ready!

Both of these products you can obviously wear alone which is what I do most of the time but they work so well together too! If I'm not feeling a completely matte lip some days, I will just pop a bit of the Lip Booster on over the top of the liquid lipsticks and it transforms it into a gorgeous glossy lip!

You can find both of these products at The Makeup Armoury - HERE.
