Tarte Energy Noir Palette + Swatches

When I won this in a giveaway recently I was super excited! I have been wanting to try more products from Tarte for a while now and this palette is a great way to try a few different products. This palette has sparked a serious love for Tarte and now I want to try everything, hopefully I will get my hands on one of the foundations soon!

Tarte Energy Noir Palette Swatches
Swatched: Unearthed (blush), Crystal Spark (highlight), Full Moon, Stone Unturned, Charged Up, Up Too Slate, Dark Drive, Misty Mauve, Power Plum & Lunar Eclipse.

The Tarte Energy Noir Palette is perfect for transitioning from day to night with a great mixture of matte and metallic eyeshadows, a gorgeous highlighter and a blush. The packaging is gorgeous in true Tarte style. The palette is metallic gold with a purple design on the front. It's very simple but I like it because it isn't too obnoxious like some makeup palettes can be. Inside the palette is the ten powder products with a full size mirror in the lid, perfect for make up on the go. It also comes in a box with the same gold and purple theme, if you purchase this palette in the UK from QVC you would also get the double ended eyeshadow brush.

If you like cool toned shadows, you will love this palette! Even though I am more of a warm toned eyeshadow girl, I surprisingly really love the shadow selection in the palette. The eyeshadows in the palette are mainly matte but there is two gorgeous metallic shades. Full Moon is a matte beige, Charged Up is a silvery taupe, Dark Drive is a matte dark chocolate shade, Stone Unturned is a matte taupe, Up Too Slate is a smokey plum, Misty Mauve is a matte mauve, Power Plum is a matte dark plum and finally for eyeshadows is Lunar Eclipse which is a matte black shade. Also in the palette is a blush in the shade Unearthed which is a pink nude shade and the Crystal Sparkle highlight which is a stunning champagne toned powder.

I have to admit, these are some of the softest powders in the world which is why I have always loved the Tarte products that I have previously tried. All of the shades, even the lighter matte shades, have incredible pigmentation and apply beautifully to the cheeks and eyes while blending out like a dream. The blush included in the palette has become my go to blush and applies effortlessly with the Zoeva 96 Luxe Powder Brush. This type of blush shade can go with any eye look making it perfect for transitioning from day to night time makeup. I love a champagne highlight so I was super happy to see one in this palette, I haven't really seen any highlighters from Tarte but they should definitely bring some out because it is stunning! I would call this palette a winner.

The Tarte Energy Noir Palette retails for £30 on QVC and $38 in America.
