Lancôme Juicy Shakers | #BanTheBoring

I used to be obsessed with the Lancôme Juicy Tubes when I was younger, I remember having lots of the shades and feeling super cool at school using it and would compare shades with my friends to see who had which! When I first heard about the Juicy Shakers, I knew I was going to want to try them immediately, I have discovered that the only type of lip product I really like to wear is a lip oil!

Swatched: Cherry Symphony, Freedom of Peach

The new Juicy Shakers from Lancôme are available in 13 shades and one limited edition shade called 400 Mint to Be which is blue and I need it in my life. These Juicy Shakes are new innovation thats across between the 1945 shaker lipstick from Lancôme and the 90s Juicy Tubes. These lip glosses are a bi phased formula which pair nourishing lip oils with stunning pigments to create plump, natural looking and glossy lips. The nourishing oils included in the Juicy Shakers contain sweet almond oil, omega 3 as well as cranberry oil. The best way to apply these is to dab the product into the centre of the lips and then blend out or continue to dab for a brighter and better pigmentation. The packaging is so cute, they are little cocktail shakers which fit the Juicy Shakers theme perfectly, remember to shake well before use!

Its not often that I find a lip product that I try for a few days and know that I need even more shades! As my lips are quite dry most of the time, I prefer to use lip oils and balms to keep my lips as hydrated as possible. But often I cant find an oil or balm with a good colour pay off. Then I found the Juicy Shakers! These feel incredible on the lips and keep my lips soft and smooth while giving tonnes of gloss and colour. These give the perfect amount of colour for me to wear every day, especially for work without looking too intense. The cushion applicator is soft to the touch and allows the gloss to melt into the lips. Because of its shape I find it to be easy to apply the product without going outside the lip line even though my lips are on the smaller side. Once applied to the lips, it feels incredibly lightweight and hydrating on the lips. After a few hours the gloss does fade but a slight tint is left behind of the lips which I really like as I don't have to rush to reapply.

I have the shades 142 Freedom of Peach and 151 Cherry Symphony. Freedom of Peach looks a lot more peach in the tube but once applied to the lips it is more of a pink toned peach, Cherry Symphony looks quite dark in the tube. However on the lips it looks appears as a pink/red, similar to my natural lip colour but slightly darker and better! I must admit, the two shades I received I wouldn't have been shades I would have picked personally however I absolutely love both shades. I find the they look different on the lips to in the bottle which I like as I would be terrified of the red shade. I must say both of these smell delicious and each have a fruity scent to go along with the name of the shade. I have been wearing these on there own every day but they can be worn over a lipstick or liner for an extra burst of colour with a glossy finish. These would be perfect to pair with a matte lipstick to transform it into a gloss while adding hydration to the lips.

I am definitely going to pick up some more shades as I haven't used anything else since these arrived! The Lancôme Juicy Shakers retail for £18 each and are available from the Lancôme website - HERE
