I have always been a huge fan of Real Techniques so when the Bold Metals line was first launched, I got one of the eye brushes and I found I didn't use it much. However these three brushes have already got so much use in the time that I have had them and they would make such a lovely gift this Christmas - not long to go now!
This is the Real Techniques Bold Metals Spotlight Essentials Gift Set which includes three full-size brushes from the Bold Metals line as well as a gorgeous brush travel wrap. This gift set comes beautifully packaged and it is so easy to wrap (I am always happy about this as I am rubbish at wrapping) as it is in a box. I think this would be a wonderful gift to any makeup wearer or obsessive as brushes are something that everybody needs and they are always worth investing in so this set would definitely go to good use!
Each brush in the box has multi use bristles and have been designed to be able to work with all formulas of products which as cream, powders and liquid makeup. All of the brushes are incredibly soft and they do feel even better quality than the standard line from Real Techniques. Each brush has a premium quality brass ferrule to make it even more durable and the handle of the brush has a lighter weight making it easier to use, creating perfect in-hand balance and optimal control. And because of the diamond shape of the handles, it prevents them from rolling off your dressing table, I love this about these brushes as I am forever dropping my makeup brushes. The three brushes included in this gift set are:
- 300 Tapered Blush Brush: This brush has been designed to highlight and sculpt the cheeks for a seamless finish. This brush is the rose gold one in the gift set and I have been using this one the most and I always reach for it over my other blush brushes. This brush really does apply blush the best and I haven't experienced any patchiness with application since using it.
- 102 Triangle Concealer Brush: This has got to be one of the most uniquely shaped makeup brushes in my collection and it does such a fantastic job and applying concealer around the eyes, nose and chin. I usually struggle with applying concealer around my nose as it always creases and settles in lines but this brush makes it so easy to blend out product and still get great coverage. This is the gold brush in the set.
- 204 Tapered Shadow Brush: I am obsessed with eye makeup brushes at the moment so I was so happy to try out another. This has been created for blending shadow into the crease and eyelid for a seamless finish. This is the silver brush in the set and I have been really liking using this as a crease brush as well as to apply a little inner corner highlight to any eye makeup look.
The brush wrap included fits all three of the brushes in perfectly with room for more. It feels so well made and I love how chic it looks, some brush wraps are ugly but this is so cute for traveling. Inside the wrap, once you pop your brushes in, it has a fabric flap which goes over the tops of the brushes to keep them protected and to prevent them falling out and losing one while on the go.
This brush set retails for £40 which is a pretty good deal if you ask me when the Tapered Blush Brush on its own to purchase is £19! This set is available at Boots - HERE. There is also a similar gift set available but just with eye makeup brushes in the Bold Metals line too.
