I have a huge fan of the Vichy Ideal range as skincare so I was excited to finally try out one of the newer launches to the Ideal range but for body care now! There are a few body care products from the Ideal range and it will depend on your skin type for which product you go for.
Vichy has launched recently the Ideal Body range which is much like the skincare line and has formulas including the exclusive Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water which contains 15 active minerals to strengthen the skin's moisture barrier function while protecting the skin against external aggressors. These products are also going to help the skin to look healthy and glowing. There a few different products in the range but I decided I wanted to give the Ideal Body Balm a try first as my skin has been in serious need of hydration since the colder weather started!
The Ideal Body Balm is aimed towards those with dry to very dry skin types as it is a densely rich balm that melts into the skin to instantly soothe and hydrate. This has deeply moisturising and comfortable properties and the formula combines Winter Sea Spray, Peach Blossom, Freesia, Tiaré, Rose and Violet with base notes of Musk, Vanilla and Amber to give the skin a lovely and delicate scent. When this product was trialled, 100% of women said their skin felt smoother and more moisturised so I couldn't wait to try it myself, I had very high hopes!
And it didn't disappoint! This has a non-greasy formula that I love and even though it is very rich, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I prefer to apply this in the evening as I like to apply a little more than I would in the morning to lock in the moisture and hydration. But you can definitely apply this in the morning as with the non-greasy formula and non-sticky finish, you can get dressed almost immediately after applying! This body balm has really helped hydrate my skin and keep it feeling super soft, especially on my arms. I have to say that my skin has even looked more even since using this too. I am obsessed with the scent of this product too and I love how it lightly lingers on the skin.
The Vichy Ideal Body Balm retails for £18 - HERE.
