Now, I know a lot of people don't like Jeffree Star but I personally like his videos and I got so excited when his cosmetics range popped up on Beauty Bay that I ordered a liquid lipstick (even though I don't actually really like this type of product). For Christmas, my Mum let me order one of the Skin Frosts as I had been wanting one for months and it has seriously upped my highlighting game!
Jeffree Star Cosmetics is mainly made up of highlighters, known as Skin Frosts as well as two forms of lipsticks, the Velour Liquid Lipsticks and the Lip Ammunition. He has also launched the Beauty Killer Palette, soon to be joined by the Androgyny palette, and lip scrubs which I am yet to try. I would have to say that Jeffree is known for his liquid lipsticks and highlighters more than any of product as these are two of the most popular and are always selling out. Towards the end of last year, Beauty Bay started stocking Jeffree's products which made us UK fans so happy about - hooray for no international shipping costs and customs fees!
I hate liquid lipsticks but I really wanted to try out the Velour Liquid Lipsticks from Jeffree Star as I have always heard such great things. I had no idea what shade to go for but as Androgyny is one of his most popular, I thought I would go for this one first. Androgyny is a sultry, plum mauve with a matte finish, like all of the Velour Liquid Lipsticks. This liquid lipstick really changed my mind when it comes to these formulations of lipsticks and this is one of the only ones that I actually find very comfortable to wear while being long lasting and non-drying. This honestly feels like water as you apply it to the lips and it sets down without making the lips look cracked and it doesn't get flaky like some liquid lipsticks can do. It is very long lasting, it pretty much lasts all day through eating and drinking. These liquid lipsticks are free from parabens and gluten and are 100% vegan and cruelty-free too! Beauty Bay currently has over 30 shades in stock for £16 each - HERE.
The Skin Frost in Ice Cold is actually what I had been on the hunt for, a white highlighter. When you have as pale skin as I do, it can be difficult to find a highlight shade that doesn't look odd on your cheekbones and this one is perfect. I also like to mix it with my other highlighters to lighten them and it makes such a difference. This has got to be one of the biggest highlighters I have ever had and I love the pink compacts that they come housed in and it's complete with a mirror. This iridescent white highlighter applies beautifully to the cheekbones and inner corners to add a glow but if you use a dampened brush, it is a game changer. By doing this it really intensifies the glow you get and people will be able to notice it a mile away. I have my eyes on Princess Cut and Peach Goddess next. These retail for £25.50 at Beauty Bay - HERE.
