I don't often try much from the high street these days but this really did catch my attention! I am always on the look out for new eyeshadow palettes and this one really reminds me of the Urban Decay Naked Three which is one of my all time favourite palettes.
Is the one of the newer launches from Rimmel and it is the Magnifi'Eyes Palette and I have the 002 London Nudes Calling colour option but it is also available in two other shades. These palettes have been designed to be a compact travel palette with eight shades. The shades included are a good mixture of light to dark shades and the shadows have rosy undertones with a good mix of shimmer and matte finishes. With a palette like this, even with only eight shades, you can still create a good few looks with it, on the back of the palette it even has recommendations for looks if you struggle to know which shades work with which.
The shimmer shades in this compact have good pigmentation when swatching and applied with a brush to the eyes. The two lightest shades in the palette, both have matte finishes, have almost no pigmentation, the first shade is invisible no matter how much you try and pick up the colour, the second shade does have a very light pigmentation. I don't know why Rimmel didn't improve those first two shades as all of the other shades have really good pigmentation but the first two do slightly let the palette down.
The first two shades aside, the other shadows apply so easily to the eyes and are very blendable, I had no issues with application. This palette can definitely take you from day to night and would be good to take on on any upcoming holidays if you pop in a single brow bone highlight shade in your makeup bag with this palette. My favourite shades from the palette would have to be the 3rd, 4th and 5th which I like to use together on the eyes and these three really remind me of the Urban Decay Naked 3 so much, especially the pink shimmer!
The Rimmel Magnifi'eyes Eyeshadow Palette retails for £7.99 at Boots - HERE.
