This is a product that I have wanted to try for years but never got round to purchasing so I was so excited when it arrived to finally give it a try! This is a much hyped and raved about powder and used on celebrities around the globe, it was brought to my attention when it was used on Kim Kardashian many years ago, I have always loved her makeup!
The Ben Nye Banana Powder has been relaunched in dome packaging with a sifter so it is slightly less messy than the previous packaging and if you pop a makeup puff into the top of it, you never have to worry about powder explosion upon opening! This powder has been created with so many uses in mind and it has a tint of colour, banana to be exact, to help neutralise darkness and brighten the skin. It is suitable for all skin tones, I have a much lighter skin tone and I love how this works for my skin. The tiniest amount of this loose powder goes a long way and works brilliantly under the eyes.
While I love to use this under the eyes, you can also use this to highlight if you wanted too. When I use it under my eyes it does a fantastic job at smoothing the skin while colour correcting and neutralising. It prolongs the wear of my concealer and I love that it doesn't cake up under the eyes while feeling lightweight and helps prevent creasing under the eyes. I also have been using it to lightly dust over the skin and it has a lovely soft focus finish and brightening the skin.
The powder itself is finely milled and never looks chalky or heavy on the skin. When used on the face rather than under the eyes it gives the skin a natural matte finish and keeps my makeup in place for the duration of the day, I have a quite oily t-zone and found it was great to blot with as well! I found it to work well over my texture and acne-prone areas as it smoothed over the skin rather than drawing attention to them. It also has good coverage which I wasn't expecting! This is definitely a powder to check out and is worth the hype!
I was expecting this to be much more expensive than £13.50 and as it is a loose powder and you only need a tiny amount, it is going to last you a while! The Ben Nye Luxury Banana Powder is available from Precious about Makeup - HERE.
