Lip products are my obsession, I most own over a hundred and I can never stop myself buying more. Even though I usually go for the same type of shade, different formulas and finishes are always my justification. This selection of products are what I am going to be using the most this season and if you are looking for a new lip product to purchase, I definitely have one for you!
Swatched: MUFE M200, GOSH Pleasure, Joan Collins Evelyn, KVD Melancholia, KVD Lovesick, Buxom Sophia, Too Faced Sweet Peach Gloss in Pure Peach, Arden Lip Oil in Heavenly Rose.
I don't wear lipsticks as often as I like as I always go for glosses but the three I have been loving at the moment have been so lovely on the lips as they are comfortable to wear and they don't settle into any lines. The Joan Collins Divine Lips Lipstick in Evelyn is a stunning pink toned coral and is my bold lip go to. This has a cream finish and it is intensively pigmented. The GOSH Velvet Touch Matte Lipstick in Pleasure is another favourite, I talked about these over on Really Ree's site - HERE. This lipstick is very long lasting on the lips with a comfortable matte finish while being slightly moisturising. The final lipstick I have been wearing a lot is the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Mat in M200. This is a warmed toned pink with a matte finish and is so creamy to apply and so comfortable to wear.
I haven't found many liquid lipstick brands that I actually like and I would love some recommendations of ones that are lightweight on the lips! But the one line of liquid lipsticks I do like is the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks range. These are almost undetectable on the lips and very long lasting. What I really like about these is that I don't find them to be at all drying on the lips and I love how sleek the packaging is. The two shades I own are Lovesick and Melancholia, I do wear Lovesick more as I find it suits my skin tone better.
Lip glosses are one of my go-to products and I always have a few in my handbag as they are so easy to apply and I never find them to be that drying on the lips. While I know everyone loves matte lip, I still can't get enough of glosses. The two glosses I have been obsessed with lately are the Buxom Full-On Lip Polishes as well as the Too Faced Sweet Peach Gloss Oils. Both of these glosses are comfortable on the lips and have non-sticky formulas with sheer pigmentation, great to wear alone or paired with a lipstick.
Both have hydrating properties but I do find that the Too Faced one is a little more hydrating from the oil element to the product, it also smells delicious! The Buxom glosses are one of my new favourites as they are plumping on the lips and I love the tingly sensation they feel on the lips, they remind me a lot of the Dior Lip Maximizer. Each of these has a few hours wear time as expected of a gloss. My favourite Too Faced Sweet Peach Gloss shade is Pure Peach and from Buxom it is Sophia.
I love Lip Oils and Balms and again like the glosses, they are so comfortable on the lips and very wearable. As I don't always like a bold or full pigmentation lip, I do prefer glosses, oils and balms as they have the perfect amount of pigmentation to look slightly more natural on the lips and perfect for day time. The new Sheer Lip Oils from Elizabeth Arden have been a great addition to my handbag and I really love the packaging switch up! These have great pigmentation, they aren't really sheer at all and are very nourishing on the lips. These are available in seven different shades and the one I have been reaching for the most is Heavenly Rose.
I have been on a huge Tarte kick recently, I blame QVC and the four easy pay instalments! For a few months, I had been eyeing up the Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Trio. In the set, you get three of the Lip Quenches, QVC has two different shades sets available and I have volume one. The three shades I have been using are Berry, Rose and Nude and these are honestly like a drink of water for your lips, I have never had a product like these before! They aren't that pigmented but they add a sheer wash of colour to the lips and melt onto the lips, I have found myself using Berry the most. The packaging is absolutely stunning too, it looks like a work of art!
