I love beauty boxes and receiving a surprise selection of goodies but do you know whats even better? Picking your own products! I have always loved getting beauty boxes as they are usually really great value for money and it allows you to try new things but you don't always get such a great selection to try. Latest in Beauty does have some great collection boxes ready to purchase but I love the build your own option.
There are three different Build Your Own options to choose from and you can either subscribe to get a monthly box or you can just do a one-off box as a treat or for a gift for a slightly higher price. You can either chose to have 3,6 or 9 products with prices from £9 to £25 and each box comes with free delivery. There is a massive selection of products to choose from with one new one being added every day at the moment! There are so many well known and popular brands too so I love that you are available to try them before thinking about purchasing the full sizes. Latest in Beauty have a great selection of travel sizes and full sizes so you can great such great value out of one of these boxes. With Christmas quickly approaching one of these boxes would make a great gift too if you know anyone who loves a bit of beauty.
I spent hours going through all of the products available to pick what I wanted in my box and I managed to get a great range of products to try out! The first things I picked out were two nail polishes, I am a huge OPI fan so I got really excited when I saw that they had mini's available and I went for the shade Worth a Pretty Penne. The other nail polish I went for was the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Polish in 230 which is a gorgeous teal shade. The Sally Hansen polish alone retails for around £5 for the full size!
I couldn't not get a few makeup items in my box, I just can't seem to ever have enough! The first thing I knew I had to have in my box was the MUA Twelfth Night Palette. This is a palette perfect for Autumn and I have used any of the MUA palettes in years so I'm excited to try them out again. The next makeup item I picked out was the Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Napa Vineyard which is a deep red shade. I thought this would be great to have to go into the holiday season and it feels like comfortable on the lips! I love a sheet mask (or any face mask really!) so I knew I wanted to pop one in my basket too. I decided on the Masque Bar Anti-Blemish Mud Mask, I have never tried this brand before so I'm excited to see what all the fuss is about!
The final products I picked up were mainly skincare. The first is the Simple Skincare Micellar Cleansing Water (full size), I've had this before and been a big fan so I thought it would be great to use again. It does a really good job at removing all traces of makeup without irritating the skin. I have tried a few Philosophy products and I really liked them so when I spotted a mini size of The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash, I thought I would give it a try! I have used it a few times so far and I do really like it. The final item in my box that I picked was The White Company Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream. This is a great mini size perfect for my handbag and was the weather starts to get colder, I need to keep my hands hydrated!
