Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara Review

I am obsessed with trying out new mascaras and this one has been at the top of my list! As soon as it came through the letterbox I couldn't wait to coat my lashes! I have tried a few lash products from Urban Decay in the past and I had been a big fan of them so I couldn't wait to test out this newbie, especially after the rave reviews it has been getting!

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara Review
The Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara has some killer packaging! The tube itself has a double walled faceted tube with a prismatic finish with the colours of an oil slick. This is hands down the best packaging of a mascara that I have ever come across and it feels like fantastic quality too. This mascara claims to deliver lashes that have 13.7x more volume and the formula will not only volumise the lashes but it will also lengthen as it separates and curls as it coats. Urban Decay has loaded up this mascara with insane benefits for lashes that are thicker, longer and look fanned-out.

The mascara itself is very buildable with one or two coats, the best results are in the second coat - it really changes the game! But anything after that can make my lashes look a bit clumpy so I have to be careful. It did take me a while to get used to the wand/brush as it is completely different than what I have been using for the past couple of months but it does a great job at coating the lashes without getting any excess onto the skin. The brush is plastic (these are my favourite style) and is made up of different length tiny precision hooks to grab the lashes to pull the product through them while combing and separating.

This mascara really is an all-in-one mascara is you are looking for something to hold a curl, thicken the lashes and add volume. It doesn't look clumpy on the lashes after two or three coats and it wears brilliantly throughout the day. It doesn't flake off, transfer onto the skin and it doesn't feel heavy or crunchy on the lashes like some mascaras do. This is one of the only mascaras that adds such an insane amount of volume to my lashes but the only thing it doesn't do for me is make my lashes quite as long as I like them to be. It does add a great deal of length to my lashes don't get me wrong but I like my lashes to almost touch my brows which this can't-do on its own but that's nothing a lash primer or lengthening mascara can't fix!

The Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara retails for £19.50 at John Lewis - HERE.
