Skincare & Body Care Current Favourites

I love trying out new skincare and body care as much as I do testing out makeup as they can usually make much more of a difference. This year I have been testing out so any different skincare products to find the perfect routine for my skin and I think I am slowly starting to find it!

As it has been much colder lately, my skin has been quite dry from spending more time out in the colder temperatures so I have been wanting to use products to help inject more hydration into my skin. The Time Bomb Peace & Quiet Coconut Cleansing Oil (£25) has been a go-to cleanser as part of my evening skincare routine. This is suitable for all skin types and I have found it to be such a great makeup remover as it doesn't irritate the eyes at all and can remove heavier makeup quite well. This has been enriched with a blend of Grape Seed, Sunflower and Safflower oils as well as the Coconut oil to leave the skin gorgeously glowing, calm and soft. This leaves my skin feeling nourished without feeling greasy which is one of the main reasons why I like it so much.

Another hydrating skin favourite of mine has been the Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Moisturiser (£35.50). I got this a few months ago and I had been using my trusty Soap & Glory Speed Plump but as I had run out of that I decided to use this again and I have been really enjoying it. It's a very rich moisturiser which I like because it has hydrated any dry patches I did have so well but it doesn't leave any residue on the skin, my skin feels velvety after I apply it! I have been using this every morning and some evenings if I feel like I need extra hydration that day. I have noticed my skin has been looking much healthier since I have been using this too.

I have mentioned this so many times now but because I have acne-prone skin I do have a lot of texture and discolouration issues so I have been trying to correct these problems as they are one of the main things I hate about my skin. I also have quite dull skin so I have been using the Illuma Intense Brightening Exfoliating Powder recently. This is unlike anything I have used before because it's a powder exfoliator - I didn't even know that they existed! This gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin (it's suitable for all skin types) and leaves my skin feeling so soft! It has been really great for my problem areas too.

Another exfoliating product that I have just switched to using is The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%. I have been really enjoying all of the products I have tried so far from The Ordinary and this is an alpha hydroxyl acid that will exfoliate the skin. This version offers a mild exfoliation that has been supported by purified Tasmanian pepperberry which has been known to reduce signs of inflammation and sensitivity that is often associated with exfoliation. This has been really helping with my uneven skin tone so far which I am so happy about!

For body care, I have been really liking the Organii Argan Shower Gel (£5.95) at the moment. This is a new brand to me and I have been really enjoying using this shower gel every morning as it is very nourishing on the skin, perfect for the winter months. I really like the scent it's on the lighter side which I like and I love argan oil for my hair so I was excited to try something with argan oil in for the body and I wasn't disappointed. This brand is certified organic and is Vegan. They have so many different scents available, I love the sound of Shea Butter and Strawberry and they also sell sets which are on offer for £8.90 at the moment so those are a great deal!
