SPF is a must have product for whenever you are in the sunshine and the Ecran Protective Invisible Spray SPF 30 (£4.95) has been my go-to. As this is a spray, it's so quick and easy to apply so there is really no excuse to go without SPF! It's enriched with Vitamin E & C and it feels super soft on the skin and not at all greasy like with some SPFs. It's completely invisible, has a lovely scent and feels silky smooth on the skin! Fragrance Direct also have this available in SPF 50 if you want something a little bit higher.
After you have spent the day enjoying the sun, I would recommend using the Ultrasun Protection Overnight Summer Skin Recovery Mask (£23.95). This delivers intense, long-lasting hydration and I have found that it sinks into the skin within just a few seconds and has a very lightweight, almost water like, texture. When you've spent the day out in the sun, your skin will become dehydrated so this will inject some much-needed moisture back into the skin and has been designed to be used specifically after increased sun exposure. It's suitable for all skin types and contains no perfume, mineral oils, silicones and alcohol.
Travel sized products are my favourite, even if I'm not travelling I just can't resist them! I always like to take perfume away with me but I don't like to travel with any of my full sizes as I am always worried about them getting damaged. So the answer to all my problems is rollerballs or handbag sized fragrances, the Escada Turquoise Summer Eau de Toilette (£8.95) is such a lovely summer fragrance! This is just under 8ml so you can take it in your hand luggage if you are getting on a plane. It is the perfect mixture of fruity and uplifting formal notes and the scent lingers all day once applied.
I got really excited when I spotted that Fragrance Direct has a bunch of Covergirl products in stock as I always love their products. I decided to go for the Oh Sugar Vitamin Infused Lip Balm in the shade Sprinkle. These are only £1.75 each and are such a bargain. This gives the lips a sheer wash of colour while hydrating with the help of grapeseed oil, avocado butter and Vitamins C & E. The Sprinkle shade is a slightly brighter pink that's great for summertime but they so also have some other shades if this one isn't for you. The only other makeup recommendation I have if you are going to be in hot weather is the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (£21.95). This is one of the best foundations I have ever used and it is incredibly long lasting so I never have to worry when I'm out and about in the sunshine. It does not budge throughout the day.
And finally the NUXE My Beauty Collection Travel Set (£11.95). This has so many bases covered and as they are all mini sizes, they can all go in your hand luggage! In this kit, you get everything from a shower oil and dry oil to a face cleanser and a hand and nail cream. If you haven't tried NUXE this would also be a great way to try out a few products before investing in full sizes. I am obsessed with the multi-purpose dry oil for face, body and hair. It feels incredible on the skin and has such a lovely scent! All of the product come in a gorgeous clear travel bag.
