I love my hair, it's like my security blanket so anything I can do to improve it, I will try. I have known of the Hairbust brand for a while now as they make vitamins which you have probably seen on Instagram. But they also have other products available too and this is one of them, I'm also testing out the shampoo and conditioner and I'll have a review up on those very soon.
I have always wanted to try a silk pillowcase but the price has honestly always put me off but now I have tried it, I would 100% pay it myself for one. The Hairburst Mulberry Silk Pillowcase retails for £34.99 and comes gorgeously presented in a great quality box with the pink and blue colour theme. The pillowcase itself isn't quite white, it almost looks like a pearl shade and I do really like it. You do only get one pillowcase but I have been testing this out for a few weeks now and I don't think you would need to purchase a second unless you're replacing it after prolonged use or if you wanted to instantly have another on hand while one is in the wash. I love the little detail on the corner of the pillowcase of the HB in a heart, would be really cool if that was your initials!
This pillowcase is hypoallergenic and will help reduce friction on your hair that often causes damage, like split ends. It will help reduce hair fall and damage while retaining the natural hydration of your hair while stopping that messy bed head look. Even though this has been designed to benefit your hair, it also works wonders for the skin too. As it will help retain the hydration of your skin, especially if it's prone to fine lines or wrinkles. As the pillowcase is hypoallergenic it's naturally allergy-free making it suitable for all skin types and ages.
As I mentioned earlier in the post, I have been using it for a few weeks and I will go as far as saying it's life-changing...not to be dramatic or anything. I knew silk pillowcases were something people often raved about but now that I have tried one, I don't think I could go back to using a standard cotton pillowcase at night. My hair has been completely transformed since I started using it and I noticed a difference from the first time that I used it. I have pretty long hair which if I didn't tie it up at night or put it in a bun, it would be completely tangled together by the morning but with this pillowcase, I don't have to. My hair is never tangled to the extent that it has been previously and my hair has been much easier to brush which results in less damage and hair loss. My hair has been looking much healthier and glossy since I started using this and it's been completely frizz free and much more hydrated too. And as I'm not having to tie it up at night and it isn't getting tangled, I'm not having to wash it in the morning to restart my hair which again, results in much less damage.
I have also noticed that my hydration levels in my skin have been improved which I wasn't expecting at all. One added bonus I have found since I started using this is that it doesn't get warm like cotton pillowcases do while in use throughout the night so it's like having the cold side of the pillow all night long - perfection!
