L'Occitane Solidarity Candle

In recent years, L'Occitane has created a charity candle and this year is no different. This year the candle will help profit Unicef and I think this is such a great product - it's a product that keeps on giving! Its such a gorgeous scent if you're looking for a new candle or starting to Christmas shop, I highly recommend this one.

The L'Occitane Solidarity Candle has been designed with bright colours and a design from the famous fashion house, CASTLEBAJAC Paris and the packaging matches this year's Christmas range from L'Occitane. This limited edition candle has a floral warm scent that comes in a cute little metal tin. The reason that this is the gift that keeps on giving is that with each purchase of this candle, L'Occitane is donating 100% of the profits from the sale to Unicef.

This candle packs a punch and features a floral yet delicately warm scent. It has top notes of freesia and bed berries, heart notes of lily of the valley, rose and jasmine wrapped up with the warming notes of amber and rosewood. It has a fantastic scent throw and due to its size, it doesn't take long to get an even burn so you don't have to worry about wasting any of the wax.

In developing countries, up to half a million children go blind every year because of Vitamin A deficiency. L'Occitane is proud to be supporting Unicef's International Vitamin A Supplementation Programme this year and that is where the profits will be used to help support this vital cause. The sale of each candle will provide five children with Vitamin A for a whole year. So not only will you be receiving a scent smelling candle, but for the next year, children will be receiving that important vitamin which makes me want to buy so many more of these candles. L'Occitane has also designed with the candle with braille on the bottom of the tin which is so important for those that are blind.

This is candle retails for £9 which I think is a really fantastic price and would be great to gift this Christmas as well. I'm planning on buying a few of these to have on hand for those unexpected visitors during the holidays that you don't have gifts for.
