Profusion Mixed Metals Nude Palette Review (+ Swatches)

I have tried a few different products from Profusion this year and this might be a new favourite! It's from their Christmas gifting range at Boots and I can't believe that it's under £10! I might just have to pick up the other two versions of this...

This is the Profusion Mixed Metals Nude Palette that retails for £8.50 and has some of the most stunning packaging on the high street. The palette itself contains nine matte and shimmer eyeshadows with a full-size mirror inside. It's made of a very durable hard plastic and the front of the palette is covered in gold glitter with mirrored accents. The glitter is solid on the palette so you don't end up with glitter all over your hands each time you pick it up. There are two other colour options available of these palettes if this one isn't for you...or you could pick up all three and get one for free!

It contains all powder eyeshadows that can take you from day to night in a flash. The shades are very versatile as you get shades that you can create light, neutral daytime looks with or you can smoke it out with the darker shades. This is a mainly matte palette as it only has three shimmers/metallic shades but these shades are stunning and work for all different kinds of looks so I don't think that it's an issue. One thing I really love that they have done with this palette is add names for each of the eyeshadows, many palettes on the high street don't have names for their shades! This palette is on the warmer toned side which I love as that is pretty much all I wear on my eyes!

As soon as I swatched this shadows I knew I was going to be a fan. All of the shades are extremely pigmented, the only shade I have had a little bit of an issue with is the darkest shade as it does take a little more work than the others. The mattes are just as pigmented as the shimmers and I was so impressed with this as even the lightest shades in the palette actually show up on the skin and some of my high-end palettes aren't that good. I have been applying the shimmer shades both wet and dry and while I like applying them both ways, they are much bolder and brighter when applied wet. The matte shades are all I have been using in my crease the last week or so and I adore them! They are so easy to blend and take hardly any effort to build up the pigmentation. They are so long-lasting too, I don't ever use an eyeshadow primer and they last all day without creasing or fading.

If you're looking for a new affordable palette to add to your makeup bag, this is it! And the best part? Profusion is cruelty-free!
