2018 Beauty Favourites

I hope you've all had a great start so far to the New Year, fingers crossed 2019 is better than 2018! I thought I would share my absolute favourite products from 2018 today. These are the products that I cannot live without and that I consistently used throughout the year and many are repurchases too.
2018 Beauty Favourites
During the working week, I tend to keep my makeup quick and simple which is where most of these favourites come in. I like to have products I know I can trust and rely on for when I'm in a hurry at 6am applying my makeup. I like to switch up my base products a lot as I do have a few to get through before they expire but the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream has been a firm favourite. I'm currently on my second tube of this and I adore it for all year round wear. It has fantastic coverage and never even looks like you have anything on your face! To apply almost all of my foundations, I have been absolutely obsessed with the Tarte 'The Buffer' Brush. While I do still use my beautyblender every day, this brush has holy grail status. It applies any foundation flawlessly and I find that I can achieve a higher coverage with this brush than with a sponge.

Speaking of Tarte, the Maneater Mascara is hands down the best mascara I have ever used! It makes my lashes so thick and long and I'm currently on my 6th tube of it. I was raving about it so much on Twitter that Tarte actually shared my tweet as an Instagram post to promote the product! Another eye product I have been using, again and again, is the Glossier Lidstar in Cub. I have been using this every single day since it's launch. It's perfect for during the week and I still can't get enough of it! It's so quick to apply and blend out and it adds the perfect wash of colour and sheen to the eyes. The Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer is the only bronzer I used throughout the whole of 2018 and I will be continuing to use it this year and repurchasing it as soon as I finish it. It is the perfect bronzing shade for my skin tone and I never have to worry about applying too much or it looking muddy.

My final makeup favourite from 2018 is the YSL Volupté Night Rehab Lip Mask, I'm just about to finish this and I'm sad to be without it! I have been applying this a few times a day to keep my lips hydrated and I notice such a big difference from using this. It keeps my lips soft and smooth and it feels so lightweight. My one skincare favourite in the year of 2018 was The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution. I have acne prone skin and this is one of the few products that I have used that can actually keep my skin clear! I use it 5/6 times a week in my evening skincare routine and I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. If you have spot or acne-prone skin, definitely give this a try!

And last but by no means least is Nails Inc nail polishes. I have been trying to buy cruelty-free products as much as I can and that's one of the main reasons why I love this brand so much as all of their products are cruelty-free and all of the ones purchased so far are also vegan! I own almost all of the duos now and the formula of Nails Inc polishes is one of the few that works brilliantly with my nails. They apply so smoothly, dry quickly and will last for days and days before they start to chip.

What were your favourites in 2018?
