Kick Starting My Skin for 2019

2019 is the year that I want to get my skin in order. I have noticed that over the past year my skin has started to change, meaning I need a whole new skincare routine. I have been trying out these products for the last couple of weeks and they have been working so well for my skin already!

Having acne prone skin is still the bane of my life but slowly, I'm starting to get it completely under control. While I don't have big acne breakouts at the moment, I still need to use something to keep it at bay which is where the Dermalogica All Over Toner (£14.95) comes in. You can use this twice a day and it will help control excess oils while eliminating breakouts. This is in a spray bottle so you can mist it onto the skin within seconds! It contains Salicylic Acid which is a wonder ingredient for my skin. It's very cooling and even though it is designed to help with breakouts and excess oil, it isn't drying on the skin.

Along with having acne, comes a lot of redness for me. I hadn't actually tried any skincare products specifically for redness until I tried the REN Evercalm Anti-Redness Serum (£16.50). This is designed for those with sensitive skin and will visibly reduce redness and irritation and provide relief for uncomfortable skin. I have been using it before my moisturiser in my morning skincare routine and I have noticed that my redness is massively reduced! I really like how comforting it is on the skin as I have had a few irritations with it recently. The moisturiser I have been using lately is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturiser (£10.11). I adore the texture of this and the way it feels on the skin. It's free from fragrance and it contains a unique Hyaluronic Gel Matrix to lock in and continuously release hydration when your skin needs it throughout the day.

I have been obsessed with face masks in the last couple of months and the Clinique Even Better Brighter Moisture Mask (£16.95) is the most recent addition to my stash. It's a cream based hydrating mask that turns dull, dehydrated skin to look radiant and luminous. It's recommended that you use this 2-3 times a week for best results. It's very soothing on the skin and is the perfect boost of moisture while adding some glow back into it. I find with having acne prone skin that my skin looks dull a lot of the time so this mask is perfect for me. The final product I have to share is the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Orange Shimmer (£7.50). This has a deliciously sweet scent and keeps the lips feeling soft and hydrated while adding a sheer wash of colour. I love products like this that will keep my lips soft during those cold winter days but will add some colour to them so they don't look so lifeless.

All of these products and so much more are available at Fragrance Direct, each with fantastic savings! The REN product alone was almost 50% off and I love a good deal.
