Milk Makeup Eye Pigments Review

Liquid and cream based eyeshadows have been something I have been obsessed with over the last year or so. They're so quick and easy to use and I can't stop buying them. When Milk Makeup finally launched in the UK, I knew I had to try something and I was so impressed I ordered two more shades.

Swatched (bottom to top): Gig, Hotel Lobby, After Party.

These Eye Pigments are all I have been using I got my hands on them, they're extremely pigmented and intense! The first shade I ordered was Gig and it was a little darker than what I would usually go for on the eyes but I couldn't get enough of it. They don't have too many shades available and while I wouldn't ever use the bright blue or purple shades, these three are ones that I knew I would get a tonne of use out of. Gig is a warm-toned Bronze, Hotel Lobby is a gorgeous champagne and After Party is a rosy pink.

I like to apply these using my fingers or a small shadow brush to blend. If I'm in a hurry, I'll blend them throughout the crease as well as on the lid and then take a fluffy brush around the edges so it doesn't look too harsh. These are extremely long-wearing and do dry down so you have to act quickly when you want to blend them. If I'm going to use some matte shadows in the crease, with Gig and Hotel Lobby, I can apply them afterwards with no issue. But with Hotel Lobby, I have had a few issues, it doesn't look as stunning alone on the lids as the other two shades do which I think is more to do with my skin tone than anything. It doesn't work well if I apply powder eyeshadows in the crease with it. I have tried a few times and I can't blend the shadows at all so if I do want to use this shade with other products, I have to apply them beforehand.

These do seem expensive at £20.50 a 10ml tube but you only need the tiniest amount for an intense colour pay off. These are hands on the best cream eyeshadows I have tried so far and have replaced my much loved Glossier Lidstars. I love the shimmer and metallic finish these have on the lids and I love the fact that they don't budge, crease, flake or fade throughout the day. Even though they do dry down, they don't dry out my skin. I can apply these at 5 o'clock in the morning and at gone midnight, they still look as if I have just applied them!

The Milk Makeup Eye Pigments are cruelty-free and Vegan and available here
