I have been testing a lot more hair care recently and this product just isn't it. I haven't come across a product that I have disliked in a while and I'm writing this review in case you have similar hair to me so you don't waste your money.
The Nexxus Nutritive Encapsulate Serum is suitable for normal to dry hair types and is said to be the ideal serum to replenish moisture and is recommended to be used as the third step in your hair care regime. It has been enriched with Concentrated Elastin Protein and the encapsulated serum formula will help to reveal healthy looking hair throughout the day. It says it can replenish up to 14 days worth of lost proteins in just one use and the powerful serum will restore hair fibres to unlock beautiful strength and movement.
It claims to provide intense moisture without weighing the hair down. It's recommended to use 3-5 pumps for short lengths and 4-8 pumps on longer hair. You can use it on damp and dry hair and focus on the mid-lengths and ends of the hair. While I was testing it out, I used 5 pumps on damp hair and I did experiment with how many pumps to use and I didn't like it no matter how much or little I used if I'm being completely honest.
My hair is on the drier side, it's been colour treated and I use heat on it daily so it needs something hydrating to keep it soft and smooth. I used it quite a few times and it did absolutely nothing for my hair. It made my hair feel rather uncomfortable if I'm honest and it did nothing to help smooth away my split ends. It didn't even add any gloss or shine to my hair, it was left looking pretty dull and heavy feeling. Save your £24.99 and buy yourself the Soap and Glory Split Happens Hair Oil for under a tenner!
