My TBR For The Reading Rush & Recommendations

If you follow me anywhere online, you will know I am obsessed with reading. In the last 18 months, it has become my favourite thing and I am really excited to take part in my first readathon! I thought I would share what books I will be reading next week as well as some recommendations for the challenges if you aren't sure what to pick.

I have picked a book for every challenge but I may have to double up on challenges if I end up being busy that week. Almost all of the books are YA which is typically what I read the most in the summer so it was such a great excuse to buy all the new titles that I had my eye on. 

Read a book with purple on the cover

My Pick: There's Something about Sweetie. I have been wanting to read this for a while and I just needed an excuse to buy the paperback! 

Recommendations: The Wedding Date, Meet Cute. 

Read a book in the same spot the entire time

My Pick: Along for the Ride. A few of Sarah Dessen's books have been picked up my Netflix to be made into movies so I want to read these books before they become increasingly popular and I can never get my hands on them! I may change this up if I'm not in the mood though. 

Recommendation: Red, White & Royal Blue

Read a book you meant to read last year

My Pick: Emergency Contact, I adore the cover of this book!

Recommendation: Becoming by Michelle Obama (I pick this to recommend as it came out last year but any book on your TBR would work!)

Read an author's first book 

My Pick: I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk. How have I not read this series yet?

Recommendation: Red, White and Royal Blue

Read a book with a non-human main character

My Pick: Winnie the Pooh! I decided to do an audiobook for one of the challenges as I haven't actually experienced an audiobook yet. I'm not a huge fantasy fan anymore so I really struggled with this one. 

Recommendation: Twilight or pretty much any fantasy

Pick a book that has five or more words in the title

My Pick: Fake It Till You Break It, I was planning on ordering this anyway so I was excited it worked out for one of the challenges! 

Recommendations: Red, White & Royal Blue, I Love You So Mochi.

Read and watch a book to movie adaptation

My Pick: Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, I had been wanting to rewatch the movie so it was the perfect time to read the book. 

Recommendations: To All the Boy's I've Loved Before, The Kissing Booth, Harry Potter.
