Blurb
Since Amy's daughter, Ruby-May, died in a terrible accident, her family have been beset by grief. One year later, the family decide to go on holiday to mend their wounds. An idyllic island in Italy seems the perfect place for them to heal and repair their relationships with one another.
But no sooner have they arrived than they discover nothing on this remote island is quite as it seems. And with the anniversary of the little girl's death looming, it becomes clear that at least one person in the family is hiding a shocking secret. As things start to go rapidly wrong, Amy begins to question whether everyone will make it home...
My Review
When it comes to the books I read, I usually stick to things on the lighter and fluffy side, especially in the summer, and this book is not that in the slightest. This is a thriller, the first thriller I have ever read and I would like to read more books like this in the future. Don't let the cover fool you, this book is nothing like the cover appears which I like.
As this is a thriller, I will not be sharing many details, definitely no spoilers on this book as I find with this genre you are always better to go in blind. This is a dark read with a lot of depth to it and I felt a lot of sadness throughout the pages. As this is a thriller, you can expect a lot of twists and turns, some expected and some predictable. All of the twists and turns held my attention to the end, I was gripped by this book. This book is told in dual perspective which I am always a huge fan of.
If you are looking for a summer thriller to read, definitely check this one out! One Year Later is out today and available - HERE.
