I have been reading so much this year that I thought I would share a couple of the books that have been standout reads so far. I get through books really quickly and I don't often remember them all when I finish them but I still think about these books all the time.
If you haven't guessed by the type of books I read and review, I love romance. This book was extremely hyped and I knew I had to read it to see why everybody loved it. I gave this book five stars and I know I will be rereading it soon. I think anybody who lives in the UK would love this book and if you like romance as it has a lot of British references.
This was the first book I read this year and I still think about it. I adore Michelle and I knew as soon as I heard about this book that I had to read it. It shares details on Michelle and Barack's relationship, before and during their time in the white house and even a few snippets of Michelle's interactions with The Queen. She briefly mentions Trump but I just can't recommend this book enough. It is definitely worth the hype.
This author duo has very quickly become a favourite of mine and if you are looking for a book to make you feel like you have taken a vacation, this is the book to read. This is a romance which is my favourite genre to read and I had such high hopes for this one. I enjoyed it so much that I read it twice. It features fake dating, enemies to lovers and a whole lot of comedy.
This was the first gay romance that I read and I loved it so much that I don't shut up about it, you can read my full review here. Even though this is a romance, it does talk about politics a lot which I really loved. It is a long book at around 400 pages but I can't say enough good things about it. This follows the romance between the first son of the president of the United States (who happens to be a woman) and a Prince of England.
This was one of the first audiobooks I ever listened to and it was an extremely powerful listen. I have been a fan of Chelsea since I was a teenager and this book was a deep listen. It is extremely emotional and having Chelsea read it really enhanced the reading experience. I listened to this via Scribd and you can get 30 days free if you want to try out the service before paying for a subscription. This book made me realise so many things about myself too.
And an honourable mention to R.S Grey and Meghan Quinn. These two are the queen of rom-coms. These are authors that I can read books from and know that I will enjoy without having to read the synopsis.
