Essence What The Fake! Mascara Review

Mascara has always been my favourite beauty product and I don't think I could ever live without it. I am also very fussy with what I like, no mascara has been able to replace my trusty Tarte Maneater but this one does come close! 

I have tried a few of the Essence mascaras and I really like them, Lash Princess is a firm favourite! I can't believe how fantastic they are, especially for the price. The What The Fake! Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara retails for the bargain price of £3.49. This is the successor to the I Need a Miracle Volumising and Strengthening Mascara and I can't wait to try that one out for myself soon. 

This mascara aims to give you that false lash effect as it contains special nylon fibres in the formula that will help to provide the lashes with incredible length and volume. As I don't wear false lashes daily but I do adore super long lashes, I was so excited about this claim. Whenever it comes to trying new mascaras if it doesn't give my lashes a tonne of length I know I will hate it as I never look right without long lashes. Essence state that this mascara can reach all lashes in just two strokes thanks to its almond-shaped, ergonomic brush.

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and I really like it! It works brilliantly on its own or layered with other mascaras and it does give the lashes a tonne of length. You can apply a few coats of this without the lashes looking clumpy but it leaves them much thicker which I am a huge fan of. It does also give the lashes some volume and the brush really does make it easy to coat all of the lashes. One of my favourite things about this mascara is how long-wearing it is, it doesn't smudge onto the skin which is something I usually struggle with when I try out new mascaras. I can't believe it's only £3.49!
