Recently I have been in the mood for all the contemporary books and I have some good ones to recommend! I'm quite fussy with my contemporaries but these ones have all been great reads that I will reread again soon.
This book had been on my TBR for so long and I'm so glad that I finally read it. This is quite an emotional read and I did really like it. I want to reread it as I rushed through it and I wish I took my time with it. The cover of this book is gorgeous and I already have her second book on preorder! I love that a lot of this book took place over text messages, it was very realistic for the plot.
I did a buddy read of this book with Emily from A Little Writer Em (you should definitely check out her channel! She has her own book coming out next month and I cannot wait to read it). We both gave this book four stars, I really enjoyed the read and would definitely recommend it! This book follows two characters who witness a tragic accident and then partake in random acts of kindness. I don't want to give too much away with this book but I love that it was dual perspective but you also got to read from the points of view who they did random acts of kindness for.
I adored this book and all its pop-culture references. Tweet Cute is a charming read with tonnes of witty moments and a little romance. I loved the dual perspectives and found it to be easy to read, well-paced with tonnes of unexpected moments. I liked that while the main plot of this book is about a Twitter war, it showcases that there are real people behind company accounts and it gives that important message to teens reading the book. I would have loved to have a little more romance in this but it’s definitely a slow burn, rom-com. All of the characters were likeable and I enjoyed the side characters as well. I’m off to eat a grilled cheese!
This book is out in early 2020.
It's never a recent reads post with a little romance! One of my favourite booktubers had read this so I thought I would give it a try and I did enjoy it. It was a three-star read for me as I did find myself eye-rolling a little towards the end. I loved that this was set in a flower shop in New York, I adore books set in New York. If you have Kindle Unlimited, I would say to give this a read if you're in the mood for a little flower shop romance.
