My Desert Island Makeup Picks

Even though we can't go anywhere at the moment, someday soon we will be able to travel again! I have been thinking about my holy grail, top tier beauty products recently and have been noticing which ones I have been using the most which inspired this post.

While the only desert island I am on at the moment is my island on Animal Crossing, I have been noticing that I am always reaching for the same products. So if I did end up on a desert island, I know what products I would take with me and I adore them. And as we have been in lockdown for a good few weeks now, I have been keeping my makeup really basic but I have been really liking it. 

For base products, Tarte Shape Tape is the best of the best when it comes to concealer. I am always switching up my foundations but recently I have been really liking the Erborian CC Red Correct. It's a wonder product and doesn't even look like you have anything on your skin. It also has some SPF in it which is handy. The powder I have been using since Christmas is the Coty Airspun and it's really good stuff. And as I would be on an island, there is no need for bronzer because hopefully, I would get a nice, natural tan!

For brows, I would have to bring the ABH Dipbrow with me and a clear brow gel. I have been using a different brow pomade recently and nothing compares to how good Dipbrow is. For the eyes, I would have to go with one of the Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Liquid Shadows. You can create three different looks with this one product and they are really easy to use. For mascara, it would have to be either the Milk Makeup KUSH Mascara or the Tarte Maneater Mascara. These are my two all-time favourites.

And the final product I would bring with me would be a lip balm, at the moment I have been absolutely obsessed with the Sol de Janeiro Lip Butter.
