When the first book in the series came out at the end of last year, I loved it and couldn't wait for the next installment and it is finally out! Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams came out last month and I finally got around to reading it this week and I can't say enough good things about it.

The first rule of book club:
You don't talk about book club.

Braden Mack thinks reading romance novels makes him an expert in love, but he'll soon discover that real life is better than fiction.
Liv Papandreas has a dream job as a sous chef at Nashville's hottest restaurant. Too bad the celebrity chef owner is less than charming behind kitchen doors. After she catches him harassing a young hostess, she confronts him and gets fired. Liv vows revenge, but she'll need assistance to take on the powerful chef.
Unfortunately, that means turning to Braden Mack. When Liv's blackballed from the restaurant scene, the charismatic nightclub entrepreneur offers to help expose her ex-boss, but she is suspicious of his motives. This is a job for the Bromance Book Club.
Inspired by the romantic suspense novel they're reading, the book club assists Liv in setting up a sting operation to take down the chef. But they're just as eager to help Mack figure out the way to Liv's heart...even though she's determined to squelch the sparks between them before she gets burned.
My Review
I had been in a reading slump for a few weeks before I picked this up and it was the perfect book to get me back into reading! If you read my reviews, you will know how much I love a good romance and this book was next level. Having previously read The Bromance Bookclub and loving it, I had high hopes of this and I was not disappointed. You don't need to read the previous book to be able to read this one but I would recommend reading that one first as it makes Liv and Mack's story even better.

I adored Liv and Mack so much and they were made for each other but it was by no means easy for them to see that. It's an enemies to lovers romance which is one of my favorite tropes. I was much more attached to the characters in this book than the first one which I wasn't expecting. I had an inkling into Mack's backstory but it wasn't completely what I was expecting which I really liked.

This book is more than a romance as the plot is heavy with Liv and Mack working together to take down a celebrity chef after Liv catches him harassing an employee and I personally think it was well done. Even though a lot of the book was focused on this, I don't think it drew away from the romance and I really enjoyed reading it and didn't find it to drag in the slightest. Even though this is quite a heavy subject to read about, the book overall has some really funny moments and some super swoony ones. Mack is one of my favourite males I have read in romance recently and I read a lot of romance! I highly recommend this book and I can't wait for the next one!
