I am the biggest Meghan Quinn fan, I have read almost all of her books, some of them multiple times so I always get excited whenever she releases something new. Thankfully, Meghan spoils us, readers, with tonnes of new releases every year and this is her latest release and it did not disappoint. Blurb
My Review
This is the second book in the Kings of Football series, book one is The Revenge Pact by Ilsa Madden-Mills and book three is The Relationship Pact by Adriana Locke. All of the books are standalone but the characters appear in each of the books for an enhanced reading experience. This book follows Crew who is the son of the couple from The Mother Road by Meghan and I highly recommend reading that one before this as it makes this book even better and you will get all of the inside jokes.
This book is essentially a slow burn, friends to lovers romance that is so angsty, set in all of the cosy Christmas locations in Germany. I want to keep it as spoiler-free as possible so that it all I am going to say about the plot. But I loved this book and I didn't want to finish it as I was enjoying it so much and that is when I know a book is good!
Crew and Hazel have such incredible chemistry and I loved how it picked up after them not talking for a few years and watching them reconnect and how they both reacted as their relationship changed and evolved into something more. I loved even more that this was set at Christmas time and this book made me feel like I was visiting the places they did and I needed that after basically being stuck in my house or at work all year!
You get both of Crew and Hazel's points of view and this book was brilliantly and beautifully written and is a classic Meghan book making me happy, frustrated and sad within a few page turns. The steamy scenes in this book were *chef's kiss* and I expect nothing less from Meghan!
The Romantic Pact is available now and you can read it for free via Kindle Unlimited.
