The Netflix Originals You Need to Watch #22: The Most Popular Series On Netflix EVER

In January, I briefly put down my books to watch a couple of Netflix shows for the first time in a couple of months. And I watched some fantastic shows that I actually struggled to find something to watch after them as nothing could hold my attention quite like these did.The Netflix Originals You Need to WatchBridgerton

"During the Regency era in England, eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family attempt to find love."

I gave into the hype and then binged the whole season in one sitting. This really is a great TV show, the acting is fantastic and the costumes and sets were incredible. And while I can't wait for the second season and will be reading a couple of the books, I did have an issue with it. In episode six, there is a rape scene and nobody seems to want to talk about. Daphne technically rapes the Duke. He repeatedly says no and no means no. If you haven't watched this yet, join the 82+ million households who have and give this a watch! It's a great show minus that scene.

Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer

"Young detective Gil Carrillo and legendary homicide investigator Frank Salerno race against the clock to stop a nocturnal monster responsible for a series of seemingly disconnected murders and sexual assaults in 1985 Los Angeles."

I love true crime documentaries but this one actually creeped me out. It was so well done and if anything ever happens to me, I want these detectives on the case. If you like true crime and can handle all the details and photographic evidence of the actual crime scenes, then definitely give this a watch!

Fate: The Winx Saga

"Fairies attend a magical boarding school in the Otherworld, where they must learn to master their magical powers while navigating love, rivalries and the monsters that threaten their very existence."

I have only just started this but the first episode is good so far so I can't wait to continue on with the series! I saw this got a bit of hate online because of casting choices which I haven't fully looked into yet. But with this only have six episodes, it's a quick binge watch and I hope it gets picked up for a second season as it has been much more popular than I though it would be.

I Am A Killer

"Featuring never before seen footage with unprecedented access to prisons across America, this crime documentary series gives an in-depth insight into the stories of prisoners who are awaiting their fate on death row. Each episode profiles a different prisoner convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death. Recounting the events that led up to their crime, the killers reveal their motivations and how they now view their actions, after time spent on death row. Different viewpoints and the impact of decisions made in a split second that have changed the course of the killers' lives throw into question the viewer's opinions towards the killers."

I told you I was a true crime fan! My Mum and I started this series last weekend and we have watched almost all of the second season now. This show has two seasons and it's a good watch. You find yourself changing your opinions multiple times throughout each episode and it just confirms the fact I would never do jury service as I can't make a decision.
