I am always looking for new cleansers to try out as I like to switch them up often so this new release from Glossier couldn't have arrived at a better time. I ordered it the second it went online and had it two days later. I have been using it for at least three weeks now and I have some thoughts!
I am a huge Glossier fan and I love trying out and reviewing as many of their products as I can. And one of my favourite products is the Milky Jelly Cleanser. It was one of the first products I ordered when the brand launched in the UK and I was excited to see them finally come out with another cleanser. The Cleanser Concentrate retails for £18 and is a highly concentrated cleanser that works to exfoliate, clarify and re-energise skin in just 60 seconds.
I love exfoliating cleansers as I am always trying to get my problematic combination skin to be smoother and clearer so this product was made for me. It contains a team of gentle exfoliators including Grape Ferment, Grape Extract, Lactic Acid and Malic Acid as well as Niacinamide to wash away dull skin and visibly refine pores. It also contains soothing ingredients like Chamomile Flower Water, Calendula Extract and Passionfruit extract to help maintain your skins balance of moisture.
A tiny bit of this cleanser goes a long way, you only need one or two small pumps as the product turns into a smooth frothy texture when it comes into contact with damp skin as you work it in. As this is an exfoliating product, you will want to ease this into your skincare touring, Glossier recommends starting with one cleanse a day with the product and depending on your skin's needs working up to twice a day. If you have dry skin you can still use the product but it's recommended that you use it a few times a week rather than every day. As this product does contains AHAs it will increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight so I highly recommend that you use a sunscreen, I really like the Glossier one and it's one of the few that I swear by.
I have to say, I love this cleanser! It has become a staple in my skincare routines and it has already made a difference. My skin is so much softer and smoother which I am so happy about. But I have also noticed it has cleared up some breakouts that I had been struggling with. I have been wearing masks at work everyday since I have been back and I broke out quite badly along my jawline with tiny whiteheads and the skin was so bumpy in texture. I had been trying a few different acne treatments that always would work to clear my skin and nothing worked apart from this cleanser. My jaw line is almost completely clear again and the skin is so much smoother and only a few bumps remain! My skin looks so much healthier already so I won't be stopping using this cleanser any time soon.
