Dior Fall 2021 Birds of a Feather Makeup Collection

Dior has always been my favourite luxury makeup brand and this collection is screaming at me to buy a couple of products. The Birds of a Feather collection features some gorgeous duo-chrome products that I need in my collection. Photo credit: Dior.com

Peter Philips, the Creative and Image director of Dior Makeup, is exploring new colour combinations and effects for this Fall/Autumn collection with images of spectacular birds and their plumage with iridescent ones. 

First up are limited edition eyeshadow palettes. There are two editions of the 5 Couleurs Couture Palette and each retails for £50. The first of the two is in the 659 Early Bird with shades of brown, pink and beige, this looks like a very wearable palette for Autumn. The other is 459 Night Bird with iridescent shades of gold, orange and green. Both of the palettes have gorgeous embossing in the powders, they are almost too pretty to use! 

For the lips, there are three shades of the Rouge Graphist Lipstick Pencil. Each retails for £28. The shades available are 344 Vibrant Coral (a rosy coral), 004 Vibrant Nude (a nude with rosewood shimmer) and 974 Vibrant Plum (a plum shade). If I had to pick a favourite, I would have to go with 974, this is so similar to the type of lip colours I love to wear in the cooler months. 

For the cheeks, there are two limited edition shades of Rouge Blush with each retailing for £37. I have my eyes on the Nude Glide shade as I love something light and more neutral on my cheeks. But if you love a pop of colour, you might love the new vibrant coral shade with 462 Coral Flight. 

For me, the real showstopper of the collection are three new limited edition shades of Dior Vernis. These nail polishes are absolutely stunning and I may have to splurge on a shade or two. These nail lacquers retail for £22 each and the trio all have an iridescent shimmer running through them. The shades available are 814 Night Bird (a golden green), 812 Early Bird (a platinum purple shade) and 811 Wild Wings (eggplant).
