I love mascaras that give you that false lash effect and Huda Beauty is one of my favourite makeup brands so I was excited to put their mascara to the test. I have been using this for the last three months and at first, I was not a fan but I adore this mascara now!
It wasn't until I sat down to write this post that I noticed I have technically been applying this mascara wrong. Huda Beauty recommends to apply the Volume mascara first and while the lashes are still wet to apply curl and length end. I have been using the curl and length side and then the volume one and I love the results so I won't be changing up my method! I have always preferred to get my lashes separated and lengthened before I thicken them or add volume.
The first few times I tried out this mascara I hated it. It was too wet and I just couldn't get on with either end. But I left it in my drawer for about a month and it's like a completely different mascara! I love the effect this has on the lashes and I would definitely repurchase it. The Curl and Lengthen side is brilliant to add a tonne of length without making the lashes clumpy and holding a curl. You can really build up the length with this mascara, my lashes partially touch my brows with this. The Volume side is fantastic to obviously add volume but it also thickens the lashes without making the lashes clumpy.
I can apply multiple coats of each mascara and I never have any issues with it clumping. The only issue I have is that I will end up with some mascara on my lids if I'm not wearing any eyeliner but I love this mascara too much to care about that. This is a long-wearing mascara and doesn't budge throughout the day, every now and again I will notice some small smudging under the brow but it's not an every time use issue. I love how intensely black this mascara is, it's so dramatic and I love it. It removes easily with my favourite makeup removes and cleansers.
Huda Beauty is a cruelty-free brand.
