Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Review (+ Swatch)

I am the biggest fan of lip oils (as well as balms and glosses) and I am always on the hunt to try new ones. Rare Beauty is one of my favourite makeup brands so when they launched a lip oil, I knew I had to have one! I have been testing it out for a couple of weeks and at the end of the post will be my Instagram Reel with a swatch!
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Review (+ Swatch)
The Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil retails for £20 and is available in eight shades, I have the shade Hope which is a nude mauve. This is described as an innovative lip jelly that transforms into a lightweight oil that starts off glossy and leaves the lips tinted for an extended wear time while never being sticky. It's going to help leave the lips looking fuller and healthier and also hydrating and nourishing them.

I have tried at least ten lip oils at this point (the Fenty Skin and Dior as still my favourites) and this isn't like any I have tried... I personally wouldn't describe this as a lip oil, it doesn't stay glossy on the lips for long at all and it also doesn't feel like a lip oil at all. It's extremely lightweight and has a slight cooling effect immediately after you apply it. I would describe this as a lip tint with a hydration boost. It applies like water to the lips which a huge bonus and I love the colour it gives the lips, I apply a light layer but you can really build up the pigmentation for a bold lip. The doe foot applicator is a great size and shape as it hugs the lips well and makes application a breeze.

While I don't think this is a lip oil, I do really love the formula. It reminds me of the Fenty Beauty lip tints but more hydrating and slightly less pigmented which again I like as I don't love bold lips. Because it is so lightweight I can't really feel it once the glossy texture disappears I do then apply a gloss or actual lip oil over the tint. I love that this leaves behind colour on the lips as I naturally have very pale lips. The shade Hope is very natural so it's great to add some life back to the lips. It's not sticky and I love how long lasting the tint is.

I will most likely get another shade or two because I do really like it (and the packaging is gorgeous) but I just wish it was a traditional lip oil.

Rare Beauty is available at Sephora and Space NK in the UK.
