Glossier Wowder Review

I have wanted this product for ages so I'm so happy to finally have my hands on it thanks to some Glossier credit! I love loose powders and as I use them every day, I am always going through them so quickly so I wanted to try out Wowder to see if it was worth the hype or not.

Glossier Wowder Review
Glossier is known for skincare before cosmetics and a very natural look so Wowder isn't something I would usually go for but I thought that with almost every Glossier product I have tried and I have ended up loving them! Wowder is available in three shades, I have been using Light/Medium and it does work well for me. As it doesn't really provide any coverage, it doesn't matter too much what the shade is for my skin tone anyway but it does add a tiny hint of colour to the skin. You are able to buy this alone or as a duo with the Wowder Brush for a saving of £4 and you would get free delivery too.

This is a face powder that will keep your skin looking like skin but will mattify the skin while leaving it looking healthy without being chalky or powdery on the skin. This is a loose powder but the packaging is unlike anything I have ever come across. Once you twist off the lid of the powder, inside is a soft trampoline style mesh that keeps the powder underneath but once you bounce your brush into it, it will realise a small amount of powder ready to apply to the skin. I do really love this style of packaging as it creates a lot less mess and waste but I do wonder if this will still be helpful when I come to the end of the product. I do need to use a slightly smaller brush that I would usually with a powder so that I can fit into the packaging but the Real Techniques Brush Crush Powder Brush works with it perfectly!

I have been using this powder for a while now and I do love it to set my foundation. It cuts out any shine on the skin and it has a slight blurring effect on the skin that I love. It locks my foundation into place and it never looks powdery, chalky or cakey on the skin. It doesn't settle into any lines or pores and it's said to be great for photography too! I do like a matte finish for my base as I do have slightly oily skin and this works brilliantly without making my skin looking dry or flat, it has a very healthy matte finish. It's a very soft powder and sweeps onto the skin effortlessly. I know that when the Summer comes and I won't want to wear foundation that I will definitely be using this to mattify the skin without looking powdery.
