Normally, I am not one to try products from L'oreal as it isn't really a high street brand I am drawn too.. until now. When I popped into Superdrug last week and saw that they had a BB line, I thought it was worth giving something a try. I have never tried a BB powder before but I am so impressed with this one which has made me want to try even more products from L'oreal.
This is the L'oreal Nude Magique BB Powder for Light Skin (claims to be a 5 in 1 product). The beauty world seems to have gone a bit BB/CC crazy, every brand seems to have BB's and CC's but I had never seen a BB Powder. With my skin pretty well behaved at the moment, there isn't really a need for foundation so when I saw this I thought it would be perfect. And it was.
This powder covers redness amazingly. I get quite a bit of redness around my nose and on my chin and this powder alone masked it almost completely. I only had to use a tiny amount of concealer to cover the redness of a couple of blemishes.
The coverage is great too. It is defiantly a lighter coverage compared to a foundation but it is defiantly buildable. For a lighter coverage I used the Real Techniques Powder Brush but when I wanted a fuller coverage I used the puff that came included. Even when the puff was used for a higher coverage, my face didn't look chalky and didn't cake after a couple of hours unlike some powders which is great. This powder has the best staying power of any powder I have tried from the high street. Defiantly hid my redness and blemishes for a good six hours before I had to touch up!
I love the packaging too. Its clear on the top so you can actually see the product with a gorgeous purple outline which is slightly mirrored. The inside of the packaging is my favourite, like with many of the L'oreal powders the powder lifts up to reveal a puff and a mirror which is perfect for leaving in your handbag!
In my books this powder is defiantly a winner and I will 100% repurchase! I would defiantly recommend this powder for when your having a good skin day. This powder is available in stores and online at Boots and Superdrug and retails for £6.99. I can't wait to try some other products from the range!
Have you tried this powder? What did you think?
