Threads False Lashes & Brow Pencil

Threads is a brand that I have heard quite a lot about in the beauty world recently and I was excited to finally try out two of their products. Threads have a range of eyelashes, brow products as well as hair colour and eyeliners available. I have previously spotted some of the Threads Lashes on the Harvey Nicolas website!

Threads launched in 2009 and launched Angel Lashes in 2010 and released their pencil range the same year. I first heard about the eyelashes from Threads and I got the Red Cherri Lashes to try which retail for £9 each. These lashes are hand made and have an extra flexible lash band so that they are comfortable once applied. Not only do you get a set of lashes but they also include lash glue with them which is fragrance free as well as being latex free. I must admit these lashes aren't really something I would get a lot of wear out of as they are very intense for me. I think they would be perfect for nights out as they are dramatic and would make a statement. When I was applying the lashes I found them to fit my lash line perfectly so I didn't need to trim them like I do with many of my false lashes. I am terrible at applying lashes and it usually takes me a few attempts to get it right but I found these to be some of the easiest lashes to apply, I just wish I could wear them more often!

I was quite excited to try out the Brow Pencil which is currently available in two shades, I received the shade Brown shade which is slightly too light for me. This pencil retails for £15 and I personally don't think that it is worth that price tag as you can get an Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz for only 50p more. I feel think this pencil is cheaply made and the fact that it is £15 and doesn't come in a box doesn't make sense to me as it does have a higher end price tag. The pencil itself is on the stiff and dry side and takes a while to build up the colour. However once it is built up it is very long lasting and would be a good product to use on the brows during the Summer as you wouldn't have to worry about them melting off!

If you are planning on trying out anything from Threads I would recommend the Lashes but I am not sure if I will continue to use the Brow Pencil as it isn't as good as some of my cheaper options in my makeup bag. You can find out more information and Threads and purchase products HERE.
