I have been on the hunt for a new moisturiser for a couple of months now. I have been needing something that will keep my skin soft and hydrated while not being heavy on the skin or leaving any rescue now that the warm either has arrived. I hadn't tried anything from Gallinée before so I was excited to try out the Hydrating Face Cream.
The Gallinée La Culture Hydrating Face Cream retails for £35 and comes in a 30ml size which is a good size for travelling and the tube is so small so it won't take up too much room. This is a deeply nourishing moisturising formula which is going to soften, moisturise and rejuvenate even sensitive types of skin. It has Lactic Acid alongside other great things for the skin and has a fast absorbing, non-greasy formula to deliver the best hydration possible. This can be used both morning and evening after cleaning the face, a little goes a long way with this product so it will last you a while! It is made up of 98% natural ingredients while being free from colorants, parabens, mineral oils, silicones and mircobeads.
I do sometimes have quite sensitive skin but I was so pleased that I started using this as part of my skin care routine as my skin has been loving it! I have been mainly using this as part of my morning routine as it is a great base for makeup. Once I have applied this to the face and neck it starts to sink in quickly leaving behind no residue, it has a slightly matte finish on my skin which I like because it doesn't interfere with any of my makeup products that I apply afterwards. The one thing I don't like about this product personally is the scent, it just isn't for me but I can get past that as it does great things for my skin.
I have been using this for the last few weeks and my skin is so well hydrated and I have found it to be so soft. I find with some moisturisers that they can make my skin quite oily but this with one from Gallinée it actually makes my makeup last slightly longer than it would normally - I am so happy about this especially now that it is summer and my makeup usually melts off after a few hours! I would go as far as saying that my skin has been looking healthier since I have been using this and a lot less dull too.
