theBalm Girls Getaway Trio Review (+ Swatches)

theBalm is a brand I have been desperate to try more from ever since I first tried the Mary-Lou Manizer. I've had my eyes on this palette for quite a while now so I thought I would finally pick it up and it hasn't disappointed. I'd act quickly on this one as many stockists don't have this in stock anymore.

I really like blush palettes and I had heard really good things about the face powders from theBalm so I had high expectations for this. theBalm Girls Getaway Trio comes with three gorgeous shades for the cheeks and bronzing. I have been playing around with this palette for a couple of weeks now and I do prefer the shades on the cheeks rather than for bronzing. I personally would say that these are best suited for the cheeks, at least on my skin tone and it's definitely suited more towards lighter skin tones. This palette is talc and paraben free and I believe they are cruelty-free. In the palette you get:

- Balm Springs: A light peach with a matte finish.
- Balm Beach: A muted, medium pink with warm undertones and a matte finish.
- Balm Desert: A medium-dark rosy brown with warm undertones and a slightly luminous finish.

Each of the shades is available to purchase individually but with the rate that I go through blushes and bronzers, it would take me a lifetime to get through the full sizes so I'm glad I decided to pick up this palette. It is really great value for money at £21.99 and it's the most affordable blush palette I have in my collection. It's a really great size as it doesn't take up much room in my makeup bag and I love that it also has a mirror inside for on the go applications.

Each of the shades has a very soft pigmentation and apply so effortlessly to the skin. I like that these aren't intensely pigmented but buildable as I don't have to worry about applying too much but if I do apply too much, they blend out within a couple of seconds. I have been using this palette every single day for adding blush to the cheeks and I find myself using Balm Springs the most as I love peachy shades currently! One of the things that impressed me the most about this palette is that they don't fade throughout the day, they last exceptionally well on the skin - usually for more than ten hours!
