My Dream Winter Holiday

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to go on a winter holiday. Skiing is something that I have always wanted to do and it's actually on my bucket list so hopefully, I will get to take this holiday very soon! Although, with how clumsy I am, I'm not sure how good of a skiier I would actually be. But I'm sure it would be a lot of fun.
There are a few different locations in Europe that you can visit to go skiing but France seems to be one of the best locations from my research. Especially when you take into account travel time from the UK as it isn't that far at all. Skiing in France has a lot to offer and with a few different slopes to choose from, there is bound to be one for your ability.

When it comes to choosing your ski holiday in France, you will be spoilt for choice! It's a place that has the largest connected ski areas on the planet and is great for skiing and snowboarding. There's something for beginners and children that will make them feel safe as well as some easy slopes and fun parks at the base of slopes. But there is also slopes for those who are more experienced at skiing and snowboarding and they have the opportunity to be able to drop from one resort to the next. They can actually take in serval resorts in just one day!

The location that has caught my eye the most is Val d'Isère, it looks gorgeous and there is so much on offer as well as skiing. This is one of the most famous and popular ski resorts in the French Alps. It has kept its charm and feel of a rural village but has grown into a modern resort with a great atmosphere. It also has great nightlife and is known for having its lively bars and a great range of restaurants.

There are also a few shops in town and a weekly local market for when you need a little break from the slopes. Val d'Isère has a great array of runs for intermediate and advanced skiers as well as central and easy to access nursey slopes plus a natural ice rink! There are activities for families to relax as well as activities for thrill seekers. There's dog sledding, ice driving, heli-skiing and a leisure centre nearby that has an indoor heated pool.

What's your dream holiday?
