OPI The Nutcracker & The Four Realms Collection Review

OPI is one of my top two nail polish brands and when this new collection launched, I knew I was going to get a few shades myself but OPI actually sent over so many of the new shades that I practically squealed when they arrived!

Swatched (from left to right): Toying with Trouble, Ginger's Revenge, Berry Fairy Fun, Black to Reality and Candied Kingdom.

These nail polishes are from the new collaboration collection from OPI and Disney for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms new movie. They have created 12 brand new limited edition shades and three glitter shades that perfectly coordinate and were inspired by the movie. One of the main things I love about this collection is that there are three shades to match each of the four realms and I have all but one of the shades to talk about today.

The Land of Flowers includes three vibrant shades that are perfect for all year round with Envy the Adventure (a grounded green), Lavendare to Find Courage (a pastel lavender with pink hues) and Berry Fairy Fun (a shimmery purple pink). The Land of Sweets is sweeter than the Sugar Plum Fairy and includes classic shades that would be perfect for Valentine's Day with Candied Kingdom (a classic blue toned red), Dazzling Dew Drops (a shimmery yellow gold) and Toying With Trouble (a raspberry pink).

The Land of Snowflakes is a dreamy winter wonderland collection with Dreams Need Clara-Ficaction (a light sky blue), Tinker Thinker Winker (a silver holo) and Dreams on a Silver Platter (a shimmery snow white). If you love vampy shades like I do then the Fourth Realm collection is for you with March in Uniform (a inky blue), Ginger's Revenge (a Bordeaux) and Black to Reality (a shimmery reddish black). The only shade I don't have is Dreams on a Silver Platter.

This collection includes such a big range of shades that there is bound to be one for you. The OPI polish formula is one of my all time favourites as it works so well with my nails. It dries quickly, applies smoothly and is one of the most long-lasting that I have come across. I have tested out each of the shades in the last few weeks and almost all of the shades only need two coats to achieve full-colour intensity. Berry Fairy Fun needed three thin coats but as these polishes are so long-lasting, I don't mind applying an extra coat.

The brush is fantastic too as it can coat the nails with polish in just one or two quick swipes. My favourite shades from the collection are Tinker, Thinker, Winker (not photographed) as I still love some holographic on my nails, Berry Fairy Fun, Candied Kingdom and Black to Reality. Black to Reality is unlike any polish I have in my collection as it's a very deep red shimmer but from afar it looks black. These are the only polishes I have been wearing since they arrived back towards the beginning of December and I know I'll be wearing these for the rest of the month too. The Land of Snowflakes shades will be perfect for Winter!
