Recent Reads #9: Some Sports Romance & an Autobiography

I didn't read much in December or November for the most part but I am fully back into reading and I can't stop! I also discovered how wonderful audiobooks are, I am extremely late to the party! I have a few books to share today that I am absolutely obsessed with.
Blitzed by Alexa Martin

I love sports romance books and this has just become one of my new favourites! This is NFL based which I know absolutely nothing about but you don't really need to follow the sports to enjoy the books. This is the third book in a series but they all follow different couples so I wasn't confused but I am going to be buying all of the paperbacks so I can start from the beginning! The way Alexa writes makes the scenes so vivid and I love how it also features a real housewives show type element.

The Play by Elle Kennedy

I love Elle Kennedy's new adult books and this is in the spin-off series, Briar U, and I think it's my favourite one so far. This is a friends to lovers romance but it also covers from serious topics like mental health and I think it was pretty well done. If you haven't read any of Elle's books, the first book in the Off-Campus series, The Deal, is free on Kindle and it's one of my all-time favourite books.

Marriage For One by Ella Maise

I was not expecting to love this as much as I do but it was incredible! This is very slow burn and it's a long book but so worth it! I really don't want to tell you anything about this because it's so much better to go into this one blind so just trust me on this one!

The Lineup by Meghan Quinn

Like Blitzed, this is another favourite sports romance of mine. Meghan writes killer books that have you swooning, so frustrated and then crying with laughter. Meghan has ruined men for me as her books are giving me the highest expectations and now nobody can ever compare. I love Jason, he is incredible and if you have Kindle Unlimited, download this right now!

Nevertheless by Alec Baldwin

One of my reading goals for 2020 is to read more autobiographies and non-fiction and this was my first read of the year. I have been an Alec Baldwin fan since I was a teenager and my favourite movie, It's Complicated stars him and I really enjoyed listening to this on audio. I learnt so much about him that I didn't know and it was quite eye-opening.

What have you been reading recently?
