When I was making a Superdrug order recently to stock up on all the essentials I decided to get a few new hair products to try out. And as I blow dry my hair pretty much every single day, I was really interested in trying these out! I have liked TRESemme products for years now but I hadn't tried out anything new from them for a while now.
The TRESemme Smooth & Shine Blow Dry Mist Spray (£5.49) has been designed for fine hair that is in need of frizz control and a smooth and shiny finish. It will help product the hair up to 230'C while keeping your hair looking healthy. And the Frizz-Free Blow Dry Creme (£5.49) is for normal to thick hair for long-lasting frizz control while also preventing heat damage. Both of these products will do the same thing for your hair but it will depend on your hair type and product preference as to which product you would use.
Even though the Smooth & Shine Blow-Dry Mist has been designed for fine hair, I really like it. My hair is more normal to thick but I find that it does the job without weighing my hair down. My hair is really long and that is something I struggle with. This product is extremely lightweight on the hair and it keeps all of the frizz at bay. It doesn't add a tonne of shine to my hair if I'm honest but that doesn't actually bother me.
The Blow Dry Creme still does a great job and helps with frizz but I do have to be careful how much I apply and what other products I am using with it. One thing I have noticed from using both products for the last month or so is that they aren't going to help with hydration, I found myself needing to use more oil than usual to keep my hair soft and hydrated.
My hair is prone to breakage and as I do use heat on it every day I love that both of these products will help to prevent heat damage. If I were to repurchase one of the two products I would definitely go with the spray version. The creme product has quite annoying packaging if I'm honest. As it has been designed for those with normal and thick hair, you do need to use quite a lot of product and the pump dispenses the tiniest amount. I would need around ten pumps of product for my hair which was a bit of a pain to do every morning.
