LQ Collagen is a brand that has been on my radar for a while now but I have only recently tried out the brand. And powder-based products are something I had been wanting to try out so this was the best of both.
LQ Collagen has a few different powders available but I have the Skin Hair Nails Collagen Powder that retails for £34.99. This is a powder version of their best selling beauty formulation. This powder has 10,000mg of Marine Collagen per serving and has been scientifically formulated to help support healthy skin, hair and nails which I am always in need of help with! It contains hyaluronic acid, biotin, selenium as well as vitamin C. It is free from gluten, lactose and dairy.
The Hydrolysed Marine Collagen is a natural protein and a key building block of the skin, Hyaluronic Acid is one of my favourite ingredients as it will help moisturise and Biotin (also known as Vitamin B7) helps maintain skin and hair. Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant that will help to protect cells from oxidative stress.
This one is passion fruit flavoured which I am so happy with because products like this will usually taste not so great. It has also been sweetened with Stevia and is a low-calorie option to help add collagen and vitamins to your everyday routine with noticeable results within 30 days. I haven't been using it for the full 30 days yet but I will update once I start to notice results!
All you have to do is mix one scoop (15g) into 150ml of cold water and stir until completely dissolved then drink immediately. They recommend that you drink this in the morning on an empty stomach but you can also take it after food if you prefer. For best results, it's recommended you take this for at least a month but for even better results for 2-3 months. I will report back!
