- This post contains a Netgalley arc -

Lyssa Kay Adams has become an author that I will preorder books before I even read the blurbs now because I have loved every book I have read so far. Even though I have an arc of this book, I have also preordered it because I loved it so much! This is the third book in the series and I have reviews up of the first two books which are spoiler-free and I will link them at the end of this post.

Blurb

"Has the Bromance Book Club met its greatest challenge?

Alexis Carlisle and her cat café, ToeBeans, shot to fame after she came forward as a victim of a celebrity chef's sexual harassment. When a new customer approaches to confide in her, the last thing Alexis expects is for the woman to claim they're sisters and to make a life-altering request. Unsure what to do, Alexis turns to the only man she trusts - her best friend, Noah Logan.

Computer genius Noah left his rebellious teenage hacker past behind to become a security expert, using his old skills only for the right cause. But Noah has a secret: he's madly in love with Alexis and has never found the right moment to confess his crush.

Now that Alexis needs him more than ever, luckily The Bromance Book Club are on hand with their trusty 'manuals' to guide this romance-novel-sceptic out of the friend zone and into taking a shot at the best relationship he's ever had..."

My Review

With every book I read from Lyssa, I like them and her writing more and more and I gave this book five stars! Crazy Stupid Bromance features the friends to lovers trope which usually isn't my favourite but I was obsessed with it in this! Alexis and Noah were so good together and I was really rooting for them since the last book if I remember right! They both have feelings for each other but don't want to talk to each other about them because they are best friends and don't want to mess that up. You can feel every emotion come alive from the page which is a huge credit to Lyssa's writing as I read a tonne of romance books and that doesn't happen all that often.

This is the third book in the series and while you can read them all as a standalone, I would recommend reading them in order as it really adds to the plot of further books. I love all of the characters in these books so I love the extra glimpses you get of them with each new book. With each book, the bromance book club is reading a book that helps with their real-life issues and in this one, I loved the small glimpses you got of it. It didn't overpower the actual plot of the book at all and that was an issue I had with the first book in the series.

Alexis is the owner of a cat cafe that you get to see in the previous book and I loved all of the cat content in this book! It was so much fun. And there are some truly laugh out loud moments in this book to do with a cat as well as some with the guys from the book club. Alongside the incredible romance, you follow Alexis' journey with her family and it was something I really related to. The topic of kidney donation was discussed heavily and I thought it was really well done, Alexis is such a selfless character and I would love to be more like her. Noah also has things he is dealing with and I love how they had each other for these issues.

Crazy Stupid Bromance will be available in paperback and ebook from the 27th October 2020.
