I love quick makeup products as I get up at 4 in the morning every weekday for work and I just got a kitten who likes to keep me up at night. These new eyeshadow pens from Maybelline have been a great addition to my makeup stash and I will be picking out more shades soon. Maybelline Color Strike Eyeshadow Pens Review & SwatchesMaybelline Color Strike Eyeshadow Pens Review & SwatchesSwatched: Bottom - 50 Hustle  || Top - 30 Spark

The Maybelline Color Strike Eyeshadow Pens are the brands first cream to powder eyeshadow in a stick from. These eyeshadow pens retail for £7.99 each and will glide onto the skin with no mess and no hassle thanks to its precise cushion pointed tip applicator. There are matte and metallic shades available, I have two of the metallics to share today. They are suitable for contact lens wearers.

There are seven shades available and the first of the two shades I have is Hustle, a darker toned brown metallic and Spark, a light peachy toned pink metallic. The applicator is pretty decent with these and I don't usually like makeup with applicators included in eyeshadows for foundations for example. But with this, it picks up a good amount of product for an even applicator. However, I don't know if I will still be a fan after using it for a while as it starts to run out as there isn't much wiggle room to get product onto the applicator.

I really do like these shadow pens, I have tried a few products similar to them but I do like that they are an affordable option that you can find on the high street. Spark is a little sheerer on the lids but adds a lovely sparkle and Hustle is much more pigmented. Both are long-lasting once applied, they last until the evening without budging even when I apply them in the early hours of the morning. I adore the cream to powder formula as it is much smoother to apply with no fallout. They are easy to blend so you don't end up with any harsh lines, I usually take my ring finger or a fluffy brush.
