Dior Forever Skin Foundation Review

A couple of months ago, I tried out and reviewed the Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer (you can read that review here) and I loved it! It has become one of my favourite concealers so I wanted to give one of the foundations a try. I have tried out a few foundations from Dior years ago, before I even had a blog, and I always highly rated them. Dior Forever Skin Foundation ReviewThe Dior Forever Foundation retails for £39 and is available in 41 shades. Even with having such a big shade range, I was still one of the lightest shades and I'm not that fair. This is a 24 hour high perfection matte foundation with a 86% skincare base. It aims to give you a natural matte complexion and has been tested through heat, sweat and humidity to give you a shine free finish from morning until night. With a skincare formula and medium to full coverage, it will even out the complexion of your skin and has SPF 35 PA+++ to protect against UVA and UVB rays and also offers protection against exposure to blue light and pollution.

This foundation does have skincare benefits, it claims to visibly tighten pores, smooth the skin all while providing optimal comfort. It is a very comfortable foundation but I personally haven't seen any changes in my skin because of this foundation. It has been formulated with mineral based pigments that allows the foundation to adjust to skin tones for an enhanced complexion. It has also been dermatologically tested and is suitable for all skin types.

I have been using this foundation for over a month and a half now and I have mixed feelings about. I definitely wouldn't repurchase it and not a favourite but I do want to try out a different one from the line. I used to be obsessed with matte foundations, but as I am now in my late twenties I have realised this isn't something I need or want anymore. So while there isn't anything actually bad about this foundation it just hasn't worked for me.

This is a very matte foundation but it doesn't look dry on the skin overall however if you do have some dry patches, it can cling to them. And as it is a matte foundation, you have to work very quickly to apply these before it sets and it doesn't budge easily. I do really like the coverage it provides, you don't need a lot to achieve medium to full coverage, doesn't look like you are covered in foundation and it is incredibly long-lasting. It's very comfortable to wear and even though it does have great coverage it isn't heavy on the skin.
