Top Christmas Movies to Watch This Holiday Season

I watch an obscene about of Christmas movies every year, including rewatching the classics (I'm currently up to four watches of Love Actually). Today, I thought I would share some of my favourites I have watched from the new releases this year to get you in the festive spirit! Top Christmas Movies to Watch This Holiday SeasonNetflix knows what they are doing with the holiday releases! There are four new movies, I have three of them that I recommend out of the four this year. Although I did enjoy the other, I haven't mentioned it as it wasn't as good as the others! The three Netflix holiday movies I recommend are:

Meet Me Next Christmas

"In pursuit of a fairytale romance with the man of her dreams, Layla must race through New York City to get her hands on the hottest ticket in town."

I absolutely loved this movie! It was such a fun watch and I will be seated for all Christina Milian Netflix movies!

Hot Frosty

"Widow Kathy magically brings a snowman to life. His innocence helps her heal and find love again. They bond before the holidays, but he's doomed to melt."

Lacey Chabert is the queen of Christmas movies and who doesn't want to watch a movie where she falls in love with a snowman?

Our Little Secret

"Two resentful exes must awkwardly spend Christmas together after learning their new partners are siblings."

I love the comeback of Lindsay Lohan and I have watched every single Netflix movie so far and this new release was such a fun watch! I need more of Ian Harding, he's in another favourite of mine coming up as well...

The majority of the holiday content I watch is Hallmark movies. I watch them all year round but the Christmas movies are my favourite! I think this year I have watched the most of any year so far and I still have more on my watch list! My Hallmark recommendations are:

A Reason for the Season

"In order to earn her trust fund and with the help of a handsome local attorney, Evie is tasked with granting Christmas wishes to the people who saved her life on the night of her birth. Stars Taylor Cole and Kevin McGarry."

Taylor Cole is one of my favourite Hallmark actors and this movie was such a great watch! I was hooked from start to finish. This movie and the next recommendation are actually from the mystery set of Hallmark movies which are becoming some of my all time favourites.

Five Gold Rings

"An artist returns home for the holidays and gets tasked with a Christmas quest left by her grandmother. She and the local PI must return lost items to their owners before Christmas. Starring Nolan Gerard Funk and Holland Roden."

I was really surprised with how much I enjoyed this as I usually don't go for the mysteries but this was one of the first ones I watched this year and has pushed me to watch more of them!

Holidazed (Hallmark+ Limited Series)

"Follows five families in Oak Bay, Oregon, who live on the same cul de sac, as they deal with the joys and stress of coming home for the holidays."

I know this isn't a movie but it is my favourite piece of content from Hallmark this year! I look forward to the new episode every week. It's really funny and heartwarming. My favourite episodes so far are episodes 2 and 5!

I have watched a few of the new Lifetime movies and I have an honourable mention for the Taylor and Travis inspired movie, Christmas in the Spotlight. I'm not saying this was a good movie but I did have a fun time watching it!

I love Christmas and action movies so I really enjoyed Red One. I love anything that Chris Evans is in and I'm glad I watched this in the cinema!

"When a villain kidnaps Santa Claus from the North Pole, an E.L.F. (Extremely Large and Formidable) operative joins forces with the world's most accomplished tracker to find him and save Christmas."

My Current Watch List...

I still have so many new releases I want to watch in the next couple of weeks including... Dear Santa, Nutcrackers and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.
